Lanbart Kennels have been breeders of excellent ACD'S since 1971. Harold and Ruth Hessenberger started off with only a couple of ACD's but soon earned a reputation of showing and breeding some of the best Cattle dogs. My father 'Harold' is now the proud owner of 'Yakkamadhi' Kennel prefix, which is all Lanbart Based stock, My muther 'Ruth', is retired from the dog breeding and is now concentrating on 'Herbal studies' after many years of hard work establishing 'Lanbart', Also to my parents credit, they have helped many up and coming kennels establish themselves with quality dogs, to be a force to be reckoned with in the showring. I was always taken to the shows in the early days, so it only seemed natural that I would take over from my parents one day. I took over Lanbart in the mid 90's, and now with my partner 'Stephen' we continue to go from strength to strength. We are the Breeders and exhibitors of numerous BISS & BIS WINNERS, in 2 countries. At Lanbart we have amoung our long list of brags, over 55 CHAMPIONS worldwide, including Multiple Aust. Grand Champions, numerous American Champions & Mexican/International Champion. 6 years ago we starting showing Aussie's with some success. Since then we have started our own breeding program. The Aussie's fit in well with our already strong Aust Cattle Dog team, built up over the last 30 years. We strive to produce quality Australian Shepherds that are structurally sound, have great movement, strong work ethic and FANTASTIC temperaments. Like with our Cattle dogs, LANBART kennels only breed 1 or 2 litters a year, so when we decide to breed a litter a lot of thought has gone into it.
